Chapter 8 No copyright infringement intended Joe hung up the phone and walked into the kitchen, "So what did Daisy say? Is she ok?" Nick asked, knowing that Joe had been fretting for the past couple of days about why she hadn't phoned. "She has a boyfriend," Joe said staring into space. It still hadn't sunk in. "Well... I mean she had a boyfriend." Nick's mouth dropped, "what?" "Well she was crying on the phone, they just broke up." "Oh..." Nick didn't know what to say, "at least they have broken up now, you can be her shoulder to cry on." Joe looked at his brother, "no I don't want to be her rebound guy, I really like her." "But dude you don't want to enter the friend zone, once you get there you can never go back." "To be honest right now I don't think we are even there, I mean why didn't she tell me that she had a boyfriend? Why didn't she tell me her surname? And why does she never explain anything? Today was another example; she wouldn't tell me what had happened between her and Henry." Joe ranted his voice getting louder as he spoke. "Come on Joe be reasonable, you have only known her for four days! You are not exactly best friends now are you? And the fact that she has a boyfriend does explain why she ran out after you kissed her. You are not a bad kisser after all!" Nick joked trying to cheer up his brother. "She is coming round in an hour and I am going to talk to her about everything. We need to be open with each other." Joe sounded decisive but Nick was worried. "Don't get too deep, you don't want to scare her off." Joe didn't care he just scowled at the floor. He walked out of the room leaving Nick alone, "seriously Joe, just play it cool." OK ITIS A BIT OF A FILLER I KNOW BUT I HAD TO LET YOU KNOW HOW JOE FEELS (PLUS I LIKE WRITING ABOUT NICK!!) ANYWAY WILL JOE CONFRONT DAISY ABOUT HER BOYFRIEND?
