The film presents the positive qualities of society's underclass and shows how some people are making an effort to change their living conditions. It also demonstrates the pitfalls and problems involved in this occupation. This isn't a warzone, or Africa, on one of those typical places where we have all become blind to an underclass, living off litter and trying to earn enough to eat. This is Glasgow, and the characters we meet, whilst they have been dealt a hard lot, are entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and frequently self-destructive. A fly-on-the-wall doc which follows people you might pass in the street, but would probably never notice.
