Tahitian canoe club training at Kamp Kimo in Hawaii to race the Molokai Hoe.. a 35 mile open ocean race across one of the most dangerous channels in the world. 100 canoe clubs took part in this years race. The team trains by playing beach soccer. Hawaii was settled by Tahitians who sailed the vast Pacific Ocean in outrigger canoes when Europeans were still living in caves.
